Gifts

Many people have asked how they can help. I'm not good at asking for help, and I had an awesome family to help me.

However, if you know of someone going through this crappy cancer thing, support is vital all the way through treatment.

Here are some ways to be helpful:
  • Clean their house before they come home from the hospital. And again during recovery and treatment.
  • Provide meals
  • Offer to help with younger children
  • Help with pet care
  • Offer to run errands, pay bills, buy groceries, pickup RX from pharmacy
  • Offer to drive to appointments
  • ASK what you can do to help!
  • Call and/or visit (don't just post on Facebook)
Now, like I said, I had family taking care of these things but others going through this crappy cancer thing may not.

Here's a list of thoughtful gifts for the woman going to have a mastectomy.
  • Zip front robe with pockets
  • Button up front pajamas
  • Tervis or Yeti cup
  • Pink house shoes
  • Pedicure gift card
  • Salon gift card to get their hair washed while recovering
  • Lap throw
  • Good book
  • Amazon gift card
  • Cancer Bible
